Your Journal needs to be on one of the required readings of the week, meaning a short story, poem or drama, depending on the week. All I am looking for, is your response to whatever it is that you read. I am NOT looking for a summary. You will not receive full credit for a summary. As long as it is not a summary you can write anything you wish about the reading. If you didn't like it, that's fine, but tell me why. The same is true if you did. Did a character stand out to you? Did the setting? Did it capture your attention? etc. In addition to responding to the reading, I want you to ask a question of the reading. You do NOT have to have the answer to the question. For example, you could ask why an author or character would choose to do something in the reading. I also ask that you take a quote from the reading and respond to it. All of this is found in the Journals Rubric located in Files.
