Using the Hansei Process Indicate whether you have similar areas of improvement and provide suggestions for avoiding this situation in the future. The two things I would do differently if I were involved in a similar situation at Netflix in the future is having a willingness to concede, and to achieve a common agreement. Compromising is beneficial to negotiations, which each party is willing to give in to their position to reach a satisfactory outcome (Meek, 2015). To reach a win/win negotiation a compromise can help the parties’ relationship to continue after the negotiation is complete, and ensure the issue will not reoccur. Achieving a common agreement can be accomplished by creating a bargaining zone the will assist in figuring out the issues that is the basis of the zone with the other party. Asking the party questions and developing a BANTA that creates possible alternatives in comparison with the existing negotiation (Opresnik, 2014). I would create a list of alternatives and actions if no agreement occurs. It is important to build mutual trust, mutual acceptance, and use effective communication. These actions will ensure that the issue will not reoccur. Pamela
