Problem Statement "the Impact of Internalized Racism on Black Social Entrepreneurship"
-Black Social Entreprenuership is a business venture that directly or indirectly benefits / increase the social, economic value of the black community.
-internalized racism is a form of internalized
oppression, and is the internalization
of racial oppression by the racially subordinated.
-African American business success rate, in comparison to white, asian, and hispanic owned businesses, is much less. While African Americans have spending power in the trillions, African Americans do not do business within the community. This lack of support of black businesses is due primarily to internalized racism - black consumers do not trust black businesses or see them as inferior. Black community do not understand the importance of supporting its businesses.
