Let's 'survey the landscape' of Project Portfolio and Program Management (referred to for the remainder of the course as PPM) jobs and career opportunities.
Use any job search site (or several) like Dice, Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn, etc to provide evidence of the differences in compentencies and experience between these different roles.
Look at the competencies, skills, knowledge, and general attributes that organizations are seeking for their Program Managers and Project Portfolio Managers.
Your deliverable: Write a 2-3 page report (12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced) that:
Provide at least a paragraph that details out the key compentency and experience differences between a Project Manager and a Program Manager.
Bring into play five to seven competencies, skills, knowledge, and general personal attributes that organizations are seeking for PPM candidates.
A minimum of two (2) Program Manager job postings and (1) Portfolio Manager/Director job posting need to be analyzed in your paper.
