In this week's readings bell hooks discusses what "visionary feminism" looks like (103). She also discusses her own coming of age in the 1970's and how loving bonds can create a world that is different than what we thought might be inevitable. She emphasizes the basic "fundamental and necessary truth: there can be no love when there is domination" (103). PROMPT Respond to the central thesis of positive change that the author is addressing this week: Do you agree with this idea? Or not? Are we on the brink of creating a more equitable environment for all people? What would make it possible? Explain your response and be sure to quote hooks. As always respond to a classmate.
