Hinduism, among all the other religions, has tried to identified who (or what) is God. Unlike Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, Hinduism does not identify ONE god. Rather, Hinduism focuses on the multiple identities of God through the thousands of divine incarnations and avatars. Choose one of the Hindu Gods and do further research into its iconography and symbolic meaning. Explain how devotees of this particular God use the symbolism to understand the various aspects of ultimate reality. (You can start with this general introduction in Wikipedia -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_deities ) Please use your textbook and the Internet (including Wikipedia) to assist you. Your essay should be 2-5 pages in length (longer is acceptable). You must use citations of at least two sources, one of which may be your textbook. The essay is worth 15 points.
