Book Report
1. Select one of the four books below. (You may only submit one book report.)
2. Obtain the book and submit proof by deadline – see below for deadline date. (I do not
care if you buy or check out from a library, but you will need to show proof that you had
access to your book of choice.)
3. Email me with proof that you obtained your book of choice (receipt, check out slip, etc.).
4. Read the book.
5. Write a 1000-word essay following the guidelines below.
Format
a. Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
b. Double spaced
c. Paragraph format (Introduction, Body, Conclusion)
Content
d. A thesis (main argument) that argues either for or against the book, and why it
should be used in future classes or why it should not.
e. 4 direct quotes from the book with page number cited (cannot be from the same
page and preferably from different chapters)
6. Submit essay through Turnitin link in Content section of Blackboard by deadline - see
below for deadline date. (Do not submit essays through email, as they will not be
accepted.)
Note: Plagiarism of any kind will be detected and submitted to UWA’s Academic
Integrity Committee.
