15 points. This is your final assignment for the course. The instructions are the same as those for the last 2 summary and charts assignments, including the requirement that you produce your own charts and/or tables from raw data. (Need at least 3 charts produced in excel included in this paper) Length: 8-10 pages on one of the topics listed above. Your final project should also demonstrate the methods we've worked on over the course of the semester: Identify the historical issue or topic. Formulate a research question to address the issue or topic. Locate the primary sources needed to answer the question. Collect and analyze sources. Construct charts and tables to help interpret your data. Offer a cogent interpretation of the data to support your answer(s) to the question. TOPIC FOR PAPPER IS WRITTEN BELOW: Is income inequality rising in the United States, and perhaps in other developed countries as well? This has been a contentious issue over the past twenty years, and helped fuel the Occupy Wall Street protests in 2010. There is evidence that COVID-19 has made matters worse. But what does the data say, and how do we measure income inequality, and why does it matter? There are many different angles to treating this topic, and how you choose to do so is your choice. Pew Research Center's Social Trends is another good resource in addition to Census Bureau and other sources. - Need 3-5 scholarly sources - As mentioned before, need at least 3 charts produced in excel included - Tables and charts must include a label, a title, and a complete source citation at the bottom of each. - Can get data from webistes like the Census Bureau, OECD, Pew Research Center, websites of that nature. - If you have any questions, please let me know 🙂
